I had the best Xmas ever. We went to Chris and Cathy's house and I ate and drank (Coke) and was merry all day. I lasted from about 3-7, but that's long for me. I got to see my family and my niece, Robin, all the way from Louisiana. Brandon will be in on Tuesday and they think they'll get to Muncie before they head to Chicago on Thurday.
Jeff, my Godson, ages out of Cavaliers this year so they'll be traveling to Chicago for the official Cavalier banquet and age-out ceremony. Doesn't seem like these guys are old enough to age out of anything, but they are. Sandy, my other God-daughter is due January 11 with her first - we are expecting a girl named Mia - and Becky (Donna and Scott's oldest) is due in April. Hard to imagine these youngun's having youngun's, but they're the age we were when we married and had kids (what did we know!)
Santa was especially generous to our family this year, bringing us lots of family and friends and GOOD HEALTH. Every moment I felt better was a new gift to me. Even Mom felt better. Pat picked her up on Xmas Eve and Xmas Day and did her hair and makeup so that she really looked pretty. Quite an attractive woman, that Dolores! We all pray that her spirits will pick up soon so that she can return to her regular apartment/routine. She misses her friend, Betty White, and her own TV and privacy. I don't blame her!
Please write and let me know how Xmas went for each of you. I'm anxious to have more contact with the outside world. What traditions did you keep/change? FAmily close or far? Tell me everything so I can feel like I'm living again!!! And if I missed saying thank you for a gift, please know that I am appreciative, just slow.
By the way, someone dropped off a blanket and left a name, but we had no idea who it was from so please let me know. The bow is staying on until I know who to thank for the blanket!!!
Peace to all.
Lenette

Happy day after Christmas! So happy that your were surrounded with activity and loving family this Christmas. Mine was very quiet, even though I was busy, because neither of my children were with me. I can tell you, that is never going to happen again. It is all about FAMILY - no matter how crazy they are. One of your many blessings are all those that love you and especially your three Freeman "wise men"!!!!I think you have the Christmas "Drummer Boy", at least you have the drums. I'm making some wonderful cheese brocoli soup tonight and will call to see if it is OK to bring some over, it is the next best healer after homemade chicken and noodles!!! I didn't leave the blanket!! Take care, later!!!
Hi, Lenette
This is Tonia and I am glad you were able to last that long. Sounds like you guys had a lot of family in. We all went to my Aunts up by gas city and my Uncle jim was there who has no kids but us and wow!! He just kept bringing out the gifts he loves to buy things and we always tell him Uncle Jim we don't need anything and you shouldnt do that. Then I go crazy and open up all of the gifts and we never know what he is going to get us. He gets great candles and fenton glass items, make up and perfume. Candy,
and lots of other stuff. But I just love watching him he is in the height of his glory. Then we went back towards home to Mom and stayed there until Midnight and the kids were riding 4 wheelers and some were playing the game Apples to Apples. Some of my nieces were watching my old wedding video what a site. So we had a great night and today the kids are just playing here at home with all there stuff. We got Tate a big igloo snow fort and they are all in it right now inside of course it is to wet to be outside on the ground. Well call if you need anything. Love Tonia Coulter

If any one can do it,it is you!! Sorry so long everyone.Cousisn Deb
Hi Lenetter - I hope you got a chance to open the Christmas card I sent an a pic of the family. I figured you'd like to see how big Desiree and Brandon are getting!
We sisters still get together on Christmas and do it up big just like mom did. We take turns opening gifts, youngest to oldest. And we bring cookies to share. It's still a lot of fun though we do miss mom there.
I'm glad you had a wonderful Christmas with your family. I miss your mom so much. I have not seen her in a very long time. You keep up your good spirits and I wish you much strength!
Love Laurie
Lennette,
How wonderful to hear you in your own voice! Our family was together for the first time in three years for Christmas day! We have a new one on the way( due March 17th).. I'll be a great aunt!!!) and all is right with the world. Our kids are happy and healthy, who can ask for anything more!
I'm off the rest of the week. If you want to go get a cappucinno at the Blue Bottle, give me a call. We need to get you out and about!!!
Happy Holidays.
Jackie
Hi Lenette:
It is so good to hear the cheer in your writing. I'm so very happy that you had a "best Xmas ever"!!
Sarah & I travelled to my brother's house in Fredericksburg, VA. We had an absolutely marvelous time. It is the first time I've spent Christmas with my brother since the late 1960's! THAT will never happen again!
We lounged, opened presents with my nephew and his family as well, and simply bathed ourselves in the warm glow of family love. Nothing better, is there?
We got back Tuesday night & I'm back at the Museum today. The visit went by far too quickly.
Keep mending, my friend.

What a beautiful sight!!! When you walked into church on Christmas Eve with your mom and sister I definitely witnessed a Christmas Miracle!!!!
My family looks very familiar to yours. I got to be with my boys on Christmas Eve and morning even though it was their dad's weekend. I know you understand how big that is!!! We had a late night on Christmas Eve. We went to my mom's after church was over. The whole family was there which hardly ever happens... since for years my sister Tamara has lived too far away... so most of the time Christmas was spent without her. Even my niece made it from Arizona with her new husband. Christmas morning was spent opening gifts with my boys and Shawn. And eating a breakfast feast of french toast sticks and tater tots. We ventured out to Peru for Christmas night to be with Shawn's family.
Now we are just enjoying some time off from school.
You are constantly in my thoughts. I can't wait to celebrate with you and Mel!! Especially since I missed out last year!!!! My prayers for you never stop. I am so thankful for your recovery. Keep it coming!!!
Love, Tanya
